Does IDS 7.30 work under Solaris 7

(3rd try of this posting: my 1st seems get lost from my provider, the 2nd leaves dejanews but isn't visible yet after 12 hrs, so I try it again :-( Hi, finally our new Sun Ultra 60 arrived. I know, IDS is ported for Solaris 2.6, but the machine came with preinstalled Solaris 7 (64 Bit). Before switching the OS I would like to know, if I can save some work and use IDS 7.3 on Solaris 7 without modification. BTW: is Informix maintaining a public or downloadable list of OS'es and the Informix versions ported for them (I checked the Informix website but found nothing). A list of required or suggested patches for the OS would be nice, too, so I could apply the patches *before* the (known) problems hit me... TIA Axel

But be warned: 4GL apps *ARE NOT* working correctly. There is a signal handling bug. So... Use Solaris 7 for a DBMS server but not as an application server!
