Is itpossible to connect to a DATASOURCE within an esql/c program

The heading says it all! I need to connect to a datasource from an esqlc program running on a Linux box. The dataSOURCE is on the same box. Thanks in advance, Kate
Do you mean an ODBC data source ? Connecting to an ODBC datasource from within a C program has nothing to do with ESQL/C. You need the appropriate ODBC functions in your C program and the proper ODBC libraries and database drivers for you Linux box. If and only if you can connect to your ODBC datasource from an ordinary C program on your Linux box, you can add ESQL/C functionality to your program to connect to an Informix database.
