IDS 7.3 database is not coming up

I had been using the IDS since last 10 years. It's was working alright since 10 years. It's stable and robust. Now the problem is database server is not coming up. Once it came up, but network users were not able to access the application. It was showing CKTP REQ, when i applied the onstat - command. When i was try to shutdown the database, by issue command onmode -k, it gave the following warning : Warning, checkpoint is stalled, you still want to continue. Please confirm one more issue, ie in /INFORMIXTMP directory : when i applying ls -l command , it shows three file, please confirm these files are ok. strser.exp strser.str infxdirs VP.online_tcp.0101s Please help me out.

Perhaps a call to Informix support won't hurt. J. Have you got enough logical logs? Have you tried starting with 'oninit -v'? What does it say? Have you tried backing up logical logs, etc?
