I guess from IBM's perspective, they don't care if you're leasing virtual hardware and infrastructure. I wonder if you decide to take your app off of Amazon and bring it in house, do you have to repurchase your IDS licenses or do you just have to pay maintenance and get the right to download a copy. (Assuming you're using the same size and type of equipment. Its interesting. Its like we're going back to the 70's and 80's where companies leased time on mainframes because they couldn't afford their own. Now we're leasing time on 'clouds' because we can't afford the price of the pipes.
