Version: IDS10
What I am seeing is that when indexes are built in HDR mode primary
server places a BLCOKED CKPT for some time and it throws ISAM 113.
Atleast, that's my observation. When I do onstat -k I don't see
process that would lock that table. However, when I do onstat I do
see "BLOCKED CKPT". I have following questions:
1. Am I right in saying that Informix places a lock on database in
above case
2. Where can I find tablename.lok as described in finderr 113
3. How do I investigate it further to point what the problem is or
where it's at. Why don't I see database level lock in onstat -k, if
informix is in BLOCKED CKPT
4. how do I point to the table of tablsnum in onstat -k

No. The server is at the point of completing a checkpoint but it
cannot because the remote index build hasn't completed yet so it has
to wait for the transaction that contains that build to complete.
This takes a lock on the table, but that's irrelevant. No new
transaction can begin and no query session can enter a critical
section in order to modify disk or buffer data until the checkpoint
completes.

Ignore that. It only applies to old Standard Engine versions. The
error text was never changed. IDS doesn't use files for locking.

'Cause there isn't one.

For a normal lock tblsnum in onstat -k is the partnum of the table's
tablespace tablespace or partition header record. You can select it
from sysptnhdr using the decimal equivalent of the tblsnum.
