Hello, We have a server running IBM AIX 5.3 and Informix IDS 10. On Sunday night ISM stopped running after are normal reboot of the server which caused all of the logical logs to fill. This caused Informix to to stop functioning and caused a blocked checkpoint. I fixed the blocked checkpoint by sending the logical logs to LTAPEDEV device /dev/null. My question is does anyone know why ISM would stop functioning after a reboot of the server? I checked the message log but it did not really show anything as to why ISM stopped running. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Phil
You might check your initialization scripts, maybe your ISM configurations are not automatically done. On your Information Center page: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v10/topic/com.ibm.ism.doc/ism35 .htm?resultof=%22%73%65%74%74%69%6e%67%22%20%22%75%70%22%20%22%69%73%6d%22%20 But version 11.50 Information Center (Unix page), shows more details on this....check it out, also... Hope it helps. Best regards. Em 23/03/2011 08:32, PHILLIP HOLTQUIST escreveu: > Hello, > > We have a server running IBM AIX 5.3 and Informix IDS 10. Thanks for your help. I will take a look and see to make sure this is setup correctly.
