Need some help with a sourceforge project
Posted in 2003
Hi all,
Its been some time since I posted to this ng, maybe some of you
remember me, or maybe not. My SQLUnit project hosted at
http://sqlunit.sourceforge.net, seeks to provide a test harness for
regression testing stored procedures in any JDBC aware database. The
testing framework is based on Junit and uses XML files to specify the
test suite. I was trying to port (or see if it runs) to Informix, when
I found that the copy of Informix I have (SE 7.24) would not work
properly with the operating system I run (Redhat Linux 7.3), possibly
because of password authentication issues. Specifically, I am able to
attach to the database locally through dbaccess, but not when using
the JDBC driver. It gives me error -952: User 's password is not
correct for the database server. More details available at:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/sqlunit/sqlunit/test/informix/README
I was wondering if anyone of you would be interested in collaborating
with me to run the tests on one of your servers. I am almost positive
it should be a smooth run, but even if it isnt, the code is fairly
small and easy to understand, or I could help with the debugging (a
little slow though over email). Of course, I will give you credit for
helping with the porting work.
Alternatively, if some of you may be interested in actually using it,
then feel free to download it and play with it as well.
I would appreciate it if you could correspond back directly with me at
this address: pal_sujit@hotmail.com, since I dont do any Informix work
nowadays and dont have much reason to visit here.
If any of you know of a decent workaround to this problem, that would
help too.
TIA
Sujit
