Need NEW ERA Information

Hi all. My name is Kendall Jackman; I am a developer working for the Utah Dept. of Public Safety. We have recently purchased Informix, New Era, and Borland's Delphi, and the product we understand the least is New Era. I have a few brief questions about it I'm hoping you can all answer handily. Please respond to the list or to my work email, which is psdomain.psmain.kjackman@email.state.ut.us Thanks! 1. Does New Era code compile to a standalone .EXE that does not depend on any .DLL's or other files to run? 2. What is the minimum recommended hardware configuration for a work- station running a compiled New Era application? 3. Isn't there any kind of syntax checker that will allow the developer to find obvious syntax errors BEFORE attempting to compile? 4. What kinds of advantages in database usage does New Era have over Delphi (I know this may not be an easy question if you've never used Delphi - ignore it if you don't have enough info). Any other advantages New Era has over Delphi? 5. What (in your opinion) are some of New Era's best features? Worst features? Thanks again for your time! I look forward to using both Delphi AND New Era.
