A collegue of mine writes the following Regards, Rolf ------ Hi, I think we have a performance problem with Informix ODBC connection. When we send a quite demanding stored procedure question to the Informix Database the CPU raises to 100 % on the client. I find it strange because the SELECT - question in the stored procedure may be heavy on the Informix where it is executed but the result to the client is always maximized to "FIRST 50". Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there a better ODBC connection from another vendor? We are using VB.NET and the informix ODBC connection from the client. Kind Regards Christian Lexander
Which version of CSDK are you using ... and which version of ODBC driver ?? There was a bug, where any statement coming from ODBC will cause an UPDATE STATISTICS on the table ...so if its big, the query response time is going to suffer and also you might see a spike in CPU usage. This bug was fixed in CSDK 2.81.TC2.
