Ontape restore fails

I am running OnLine 6.0, and am forced to perform a restore from tape, using ontape. However it doesn't work. When attempting to start, I get "Physical restore failed - Cannot open $INFORMIXDIR/etc/$ONCONFIG errno = 24" This error indicates too many open files, but I can't see how this could be exceeding any kernel resource. Anyone seen this?? or can point me in some direction?? I'm running on a sequent, ptx 2.1 Thanks, Jon ===================================================================== Jon C.
