Restore individual dbspace with ontape

Is it possible to restore an individual dbspace with ontape using only a level
0 backup WITHOUT restoring any logical logs?
I have tried using ontape -r -D dbspace, and also ontape -p -D dbspace. In
both instances the dbspace is restored but left "down" (and I receive messages
saying I need to restore the logical logs). I want to restore the data in the
level 0 backup ONLY. I can't use archecker (because of a bug that causes
segmentation faults) and I can't use onbar because of no storage manager.
I don't want to do a full restore because there are other dbspaces that I do
not want restored.
Any ideas?
If you restore a single dbspace with either ontape or onbar you must
always rollforward logs to the most current point in time.
I believe what you will want to do is a restore
of the rootdbs, logdbs, physlogdbs and only the desired
dbspace. If you do the critical media with the desired
dbspace you can stop at any point it time. You will
probably have to do this on another computer then
export/import the data.
Hope this helps.

No, not possible. Otherwise the restored dbspace would be out-of-date
compared to the other dbspaces. You COULD restore the entire instance to
another machine without restoring logical logs the unload the data from the
tables you need to recover from that one dbspace and import them back to
the original instance. That's the only option. You do a -r restore, say
'N'o when asked if you want to restore logs, then bring the engine to fully
online mode with onmode -m and wait for the engine to report that fast
recovery is complete before shutting it down (otherwise all of the dbspaces
will be marked 'I'nconsistent).
