how define permiss. for spec. db server with OnLine 6?

Here's my question : How can permissions be defined to connect to a specific database server, with the Informix-OnLine Dynamic Server? In particular, is it possible to have different permissions (for the same user) for database servers running on the same machine? An what about database servers running on a remote machine? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
