According to someone in the know, using sds is the only way he knows of extending the HP-UX partition and with disk sizes increasing and our need for database size decreasing we may well have a 1GB disk going to waste for the sake of a 20MB database. This spare disk space could be stripped onto the HP-UX partition to prevent this wastage. There's either got to be around the striping problem or perhaps a fix from Informix. At the moment we're just happy that we've sorted out our original problem and the thing works! Cheers, Rich.
