Hi Guys, I have dba priveleges on a database. There's a table in this database that informix owns. I can grant permissions to the table with the 'as informix' clause but I cannot revoke. When I try the revoke statement using the 'as informix' clause I get a syntax error. Why can I grant but can't revoke. austin

However, you don't have permission to revoke access. This can be done only by the owner of the table, in this case, user informix. I agree with you, if I can grant, I should be able to revoke, but these are SQL rules.... Hope it helps..
