Tools for maintaining vesrion controll?

Dear all, I need to implement a version control in Informix 4gl and 4Js environment. I am hoping to find some integrated solution with take-outs based on jobs assigned from defect and enhancement tracking application/database. I also hope to find ability to track database schema changes together with related application changes. If someone can suggest and describe one, it would be very much appreciated.
