If Informix are interested in volumes, they should certainly do a Linux port. The OS is very stable and efficient, so I'm sure it would perform well. Commercial quality relational databases is something really missing in the Linux community, so if the price is reasonable Informix could easily sell lots of licences here. Or maybe they could just make it a unsupported version like Netscape have done. Come on, Informix! Let's have a native Linux port! The installed base is bigger than any other Unix vendor. -- 'yvind Gjerstad Systems dept Tollpost-Globe AS N-6301 'ndalsnes/Norway E-mail: ogj@it.tollpost.no Phone: +47 7122 6663 Fax: +47 7122 6694
