ILLUTRA/IUS and WEB DATABLADE

hi there does anyone know whether, when using the web datablade and html forms, does the database automatically treat any incoming data posted from the forms as a transaction. Its just that I am designing a DB and web front end and Im not sure whether the DB would lock all the reocrds which relate to the results from a query until the transaction is over, assuming that the DB does treat the form data and subsequent SQL statements as a transaction. any help would be most appreciated.
