How to install ILS??

Howdy everyone! Maybe someone can help me out here as I've exhausted many other avenues all ready. I'm trying to install the International Language Supplements for Informix(9.12MC1) for Online Dynamic Server(7.23.FC4) on DEC Alpha running Digital UNIX (4.0D). Now I'm following the instructions as described: -login as root -mount cd on mount-point -set INFORMIXDIR -type cd $INFORMIXDIR -type sh /mount-point/install -follow menus When I get to sh /mount-point/install it gets and error "/mount-point/INSTALL;1/msg/en_us/ISO8859-1: not found". Then it terminates the installation. I called Informix tech support and they couldn't help me(but not for a lack of trying). We tried every documented permutation of environmental variables and still no go. I've put a call into our onsite rep but haven't connected as yet. So to all Informix gurus ... any ideas??
