Kiss & make up

Well, folks, this is all great fun, but let's get back to the business of Informix and away from the Internet business of egos and flames. I, too may have overreacted and apologize for any over-reactions. To see the kinds of nastiness that can be caused by, and inflicted upon, newsgroups by this type of silly exchange, I highly recommend the following URL: http://www-home.calumet.yorku.ca/pkelly/WWW/syntact.htm This http purports to be a "manifesto" giving detailed instructions as to how organized gangs attempt to ruin newsgroups. Whether it's true or not and whether or not such groups exist, it makes fascinating reading. It'll also make you borderline paranoid.....;) Joe "doing research for his next book, _Flamewar_" Lumbley -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Lumbley(jlumbley@netcom.com) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
