Hello, I think you just need to configure a soctcp or tlitcp connection in your onconfig file and sqlhosts file. 1. Set a alias to your server in DBSERVERALIASES parameter and add a NETTYPE entry with tlitcp(or soctcp) protocol type (if you haven't one there) in onconfig file. 2. Thank you very much for your help but since I'm a beggining on Informix and this is a production database we need more details on how to do that... Well, I have a DBSERVERALIASES entry empty. So, I should put dbserver_tcp there, right? DBSERVERNAME dbserver_tcp # Name of default database server DBSERVERALIASES dbserver_tcp # List of alternatedbservernames I don't have a NETTYPE entry, what should I do, tlitcp or soctcp? The only entry that gives me one of these is on sym.out file: sym.out:0x1034f95c soctcp_sighand sym.out:0x1034fac0 soctcp_siginit sym.out:0x1034faf8 soctcp_setopts Does it mean we have soctcp?
