The informix consultant was right. Too many extents in 5.0 will cause some weird things to happen. 2. What he told you was not a script per se. You need to do the following: 1) Run a DB Schema on that table and save the sql to a file. 2) Run a status on that table to see how many rows exist. 3) Determine if that table is static or dynamic. 4) Unload the table to a flat file. 5) edit the dbschema you saved to create the table with a large enough starting EXTENT and a large enough NEXT EXTENT.
