Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I've got an online 7.20 database sitting on an NT box that doesn't have
a tape drive. It sits right next to an HP 9000 with tape drive (where
our production online 7.22 database sits). I can talk from one database
to the other, ftp between machines, etc. But when I try to do an
archive from the NT box, using the HP drive (using the syntax from the
manuals -- TAPEDEV = beech:/dev/rmt/0m) I get a "could not write archive
tape." message.
Can this be done?? or am I just wasting my time trying to have NT talk
to Unix?
