O/S requirements for CLR

Informix 11.50.FC6WE, HP-UX 11.31 PA-RISC We are considering using continuous log restore (CLR) as a low-bandwidth option to keep our off-site disaster recovery system updated. The hardware is similar at both sites. Both have HP-UX 11.31. The question is, how closely do the two systems have to be in OS releases? Do they have to match EXACTLY? Or is it enough that the two are at 11.31? Can they be at different update levels (e.g., one on the September 2011 update and the other on March 2012)? On the Informix side, I know that the two servers have to be on the same major release, such as 11.50. I believe, but I have not found it in the manual yet, that they really also need to match at the minor release level, so both would need to be 11.50.FC6. Can anyone point me to the correct manual page to confirm that one way or the other. Thanks in advance.
Mark, consider using continuous log restore for this instead. It is much easier to implement and no programming required! Art, The OP said we were considering continuous log restore. That was the only option I was asking about. I was only trying to find out how closely the two servers had to match in terms of Informix and HP-UX versions. Did I use an incorrect abbreviation when I chose CLR?
Sorry Mark. I read CDC. My bad. AFAIK, major and minor versions are sufficient. Patch releases do not count. But still best to just call IBM support and get the official line on that. Documentation states: "Ensure that the version of IBM® Informix® is identical on both the primary and secondary systems." I assume this means fixpack level... we can change something in the logical logs between fixpacks. It may work for years, but you may get into troubles... For example "compression" vs "no compression" etc. Don't do it with different fixpacks... Why would you need to do it?
