I don't know what's special about the "evaluation" version of Informix. If
you're taling Informix Online however, the problem could possibly be that
your database was not created with any kind of logging enabled. You'll
probably want to create the database with unbuffered logging (or turn on
unbuffered logging if the database is already created). Turning on logging
for a database requires doing a level 0 archive of the server. If you are
using 'ontape' for backup, this can be accomplished with the following
command:
onatpe -s -U databasename
Substitute the name of your database for "databasename" above. This will
do a level zero archive and turn on unbuffered logging for the specified
database.
