I don't have a good explanation of what's going on. I don't see how the I4GL or ESQL/C would be truncating the data - especially after I saved the value in a temporary table and then selected from that - so I have to conclude that somehow or another the server is confused. But I don't see how that works (fails) either. The observation is correct.
