If you mean "is there a way to compile DBD::Informix with RDS", the answer is No; as the documentation states, you need an ESQL/C compiler, such as comes with ESQL/C, ClientSDK or I4GL (c-code). Since I4GL-RDS does not distribute an ESQL/C compiler, you cannot compile DBD::Informix on a system with only I4GL-RDS. >Or must I use DBD::ODBC, on SCO unix? Or you must get hold of an ESQL/C compiler... ClientSDK is readily available at a nominal cost -- why can't you use that? (Answer: because you're not using a recent enough engine.)
