Re: CREATE TABLE in volatile memory ?

Yes, You don't really provide enough information as to what you would like to do. However there's a difference between making a table memory resident or making a page of the data memory resident. Becareful what you ask for... without enough information, your questions mean something different to different people. What is it that you are trying to accomplish? If you are looking at a small table of temp data that is application centric and its too large to fit in to the app, then you will want to use a ram disk. (Solid state disk, or a virtual disk....) You should really think out the design problem before chosing either technique. But hey, what do I know? ;-) Richard Kofler wrote: > Corne' Cornelius wrote: > >>Hi, >> >>Does informix support tables (non-temporary) which reside in volatile >>memory ?
