I did a fair bit on it just after Linus changed the user memory stuff to use exception handling. Unfortunately that series of 2.1 kernels had some problems that rather curtailed testing, then I had some iBCS changes that really needed to go in the 2.0 version. At the moment the development kernel is again a bit unstable as major SMP changes go in. I suspect iBCS will probably need to do its own SMP locking now it can't rely on the old global lock. My current aim is to catch up in time for the, as yet unscheduled, 2.2 kernel release - or shortly afterwards.
