Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

hello everybody,
I'm a newbie with informix. We use a IDS 7.24 and I have found the
following entry in my online.log:
Lock table overflow - user id 204, session id 6218
Does anybody know what this means, and how can I avoid this error.
Thanks and greetings from Salzburg
Wilfried.

I think you're exceeding the max number of locks (onstat -k to get the
actual number of used/total locks)
You can increase the limit (don't know in what range) or explicitely
lock the table(s) you're accessing.
Changing to dirty read is also a solution.
