Lawson vs SAP, etc.

Hi all. My company is ditching Lawson. We are an IDS shop and, as the sysadmin/dba, I don't want to bring in another RDBMS just to keep Lawson. Does anyone have any experience and/or opinions about the merits of SAP or Peoplesoft or whomever? We really only use AP, AR and GL. Is one of the other vendors stronger in the core financial areas than the others? Any work better with IDS than the others? Any insight or opinions would be appreciated. Please feel free to email me directly if you wish. I'm not sure a topic this boring should be forced upon the rest of the list. Thanks, Dan _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected? I think PeopleSoft no longer has an option for Informix as the database. SAP still lists Informix as an option, although I there are some issues when using Java instead of ABAP. Here is a link that has additional information from SAP and IBM: http://www-5.ibm.com/de/software/data/pdf/SAP-Informix-en.pdf "Daniel Hunt" <dph00@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:cbfapj$s3l$1@news.xmission.com... > > Hi all. > > My company is ditching Lawson.
