Currenly running IDS 9.30.UC6W1 on Solaris 8. We are moving to Solaris 9, IDS 9.30.FC7. Later in the year, we plan to move again to 9.40.FC?, Solaris 9. Does anyone have any words of widsom regarding either of these migrations?
It appears that the High Performance Loader in 9.40 has been 'enhanced' . We own many c-shell scripts that call onpload. The Migration Guide seems to indicate that onpload will still be supported with no modifications to the scripts. Is this correct or is my interpretation of the Migration Guide off?
Is the 9.40.FCx High Performance Loader a 64 bit application? The 9.30.FC7 version is 32 bit and therefore cannot connect to shared memory.
Any issues with the large chunk sizes? I seem to recall a post siting an issue or problem...
Issues regarding the large files?
Any pearls of wisdom are appreciated.
