You should have received with your Informix 7.2, the Informix-TP/XA User
Manual for ver. 7.2. I suggest trying to get this.
The open and close strings are 'xa_opne()' and 'xa_close()' respectively.
To use, be sure to link 'libinfxxa.a' when building your servers.
