Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Hi all,
I have a customer where dbimport operations or lot of updates in a database
takes much longer then similar installations at other customers. What can be
the reason? Identical operations are working fine at other installations.
Platform: SuSe
Informix: IDS 9.40. (I know that this version is old).
Thanks for any tips!
Danny
Slow disk io? Heavily fragmented tables (bad fragmentation)? Cache too
small? Lots of contention for resources with other users?
