SQL Retriever, VB5 and Informix

Help, I'm trying to open a DSN Less connection from VB5 to an informix database using the following code Dim Target_En As rdoEnvironment Dim tfinfo_Cn As New rdoConnection Dim DSN_LESS As String Set Target_En = rdoEngine.rdoEnvironments(0) DSN_LESS = "UID=myusername;PWD=mypassword;DATABASE=/home1/tfdev/tfinfo;SERVER=target;DRIVER={SCO Vision ODBC};DSN=''" With tfinfo_Cn .Connect = DSN_LESS .EstablishConnection rdDriverNoPrompt, False End With Every time it fails on the .EstablishConnection line. The error message is a follows Run Time Error '40002' 08001:[SCO Vision][ODBC Driver]Unable to connect to data source. Unable to locate service name for DBMS, check that SQL-Retriever was installed correctly SQL Retriever is my ODBC software, which I know is working correctly I know the System permissions are OK, because I can access the database use a standard DSN but I want to switch to a DSN Less connection to improve performance, and reduce maintenance time of ODBC DSN's on the client machines. Am I missing some arguments in the Connect string Please Help Many thanks Al
