A few weeks ago, I needed to deploy a graphical Informix explorer and SQL editor with shared connection details on a Windows terminal server for a geographically dispersed Informix support department with no budget and a tight licensing regime, and found this open source Java application: http://sourceforge.net/projects/squirrel-sql At the time, they did not have any specific Informix support, so I have been involved in developing an Informix plug-in. The new version 2.4.1 now displays the SQL source of Informix views, triggers, and procedures/functions. It does not have the administrative functionality of Server Studio, but it is freely deployable and has some nice features. Let me know what you think. However, please report any specific bugs via the Tracker tab at the Web page above. -- Regards, Doug Lawry www.douglawry.webhop.org
