Informix offers a utility called dbload which supports commit points
every n records. Never used it myself, I prefer to turn logging off,
set an exclusive table lock and disable indexes before I do the load
with a straight LOAD.

Hiya.
Quick question. I've searched the Informix docs and can't find any info
on how to set the batch size of the transaction for LOAD. I'm trying to
avoid "long transaction aborted" issues. Is there a flag or something
to set with LOAD or is this possible? Just want to set it at 1000 rows
a pop or so...
