4gl question on reverse video - additional info

First of all some clarifications -- The reverse video does work on the Informix 7.24 (new) machine for the ring menu options and for the non enterable fields. However it does not work for the user enterable fields in the specific conditions as explained in my earlier message below. I did some additional tests on this problem. I took a program that had three user enterable fields, say s_field1, s_field2, s_field3. I coded the before field clauses as follows. BEFORE FIELD s_field1 DISPLAY m_field1 to s_field1 attribute(reverse) BEFORE FIELD s_field2 DISPLAY m_field1 to s_field1 attribute(reverse) DISPLAY m_field2 to s_field2 attribute(reverse) DISPLAY m_field3 to s_field3 attribute(reverse) BEFORE FIELD s_field3 DISPLAY m_field3 to s_field3 attribute(reverse) To begin with, the cursor was on s_field1 with nothing in reverse video. When I moved into s_field2, s_field1 and s_field3 were displayed in reverse video but s_field2 was normal. Then I ran the program under the debugger on both machines. The logic flow is identical on the two machines. I tried correcting the problem by playing with termcap file. I copied the termcap file from the old (5.05) where reverse video works fine to the new (7.24) machine. TERM, TERMCAP and INFORMIXTERM were identical on both the machines. Still the problem persists. This works fine when running the application on RS-6000, AIX 3.2, Informix 5.05 UC1, 4gl 4.11 UC2. When we ported this application to AIX 4.3, Informix 7.24 UC1, 4gl 6.04 UC2, the fields do not get reverse video as the user moves from one field to another. Has anyone faced this problem before? What could be wrong?
