Problems with DBMONEY or with comma and period

Hello, we have this problem with 4gl-Programs and forms: If we set DBMONEY='.' everything is ok. But if we set DBMONEY=',' we can insert and display decimals (no moneys!) like '12,50', but we cannot search for this value. Applies DBMONEY only to MONEY values (like the 4gl-Reference-Manual recommends) and is there an other solution to switch between the comma and the period?
