Bitter yesterday, were you? Seriously, have you called your > Informix rep and asked to get in on beta tests, product evaluations, etc? Been there done that. Can't tell you how many times I've called and asked about this. I'm not going to manage loser salesmen who can't sell cars trying to weasel an easy paycheck off software. And expect everyone to come to them on bended knee. I'm sick of it. > That's "called your rep," not "bitched in a newsgroup." > I am not going to chase down Informix reps. They know where to find me. See, if Informix was really serious about developing business in a market they would not try to get all the action for themselves, BY THEMSELVES. It's just Oracle-wannabe crap. We'll work all the deals, and squeeze out anybody that isn't working for us. But if you're gonna play like Oracle you need to provide some developer channel marketing that spans more than two or three sentences in a brochure. And get some salesmen who can actually understand the products. > Our rep (well, our old rep at least (sigh, does /anyone/ have their promised > old reps back yet?)) was excellent. Informix Sales People are LOSERS. I'd fire every last one of them if it was up to me. -- Tim Schaefer \\\\|// tschaefe@mindspring.com (6 6) ------------------------oOOo---( )---o00o--------- http://www.inxutil.com
