Using SET DEBUG causes INFORMIX to hang

Hi, I am trying to run debug traces on SPs. However, what I've noticed is that it appears the SP hangs at the SET DEBUG FILE TO statement. If I kill the execution of the SP, this set debug session appears to continue to run as an informix session. If I then try to shutdown and restart Informix using onmode -yuck I can't as this hangs as well. Normally this takes seconds to complete. I have waited over 10 minutes and it appeared to be in a hung state. So, I then had to reboot the machine to make the database available to me again. The version of Informix is: Informix Dynamic Server 2000 Version 9.21.UC4 This is a very serious problem(Informix bug maybe) and I have been able to reproduce it every time I try to use SET DEBUG in a SP. Has anyone experienced this before and know what/where the solution is? Regards, Jeff _________

I have used SET DEBUG FILE TO/TRACE ON extensively without any problem and we use 9.21.UC4.
