Poll Threads
I have a question about poll threads that some of the gurus may be able to
answer.
We are starting to use our first multi-processor machine (specifics below)
and I don't see any evidence of it running multiple threads for a single
user. The TFM is a little vague on the use of poll threads on a
multi-processor machine and I am wondering what effect poll threads will
have on performance.
Any comments from those that know would be appreciated.
Specifics:
IBM RISC6000, model F50 (4x166mhz pentiums) using AIX 4.2.1.0
Informix ODS version 7.23 UC6
