Hello I work with Informix 7.10.UC1 on Solaris 2.4 I have a program that forks and execs ontape, communicates on a pipe to feed "return" to it and continues doing some other work. It needs to be informed when and with what status ontape completed. I tried using the event-alarm feature to monitor the completion of archive backup. It does not work for the "archive complete" event, it is a known bug. I tried looking for status in SIGCLD handler, but I have no information on the return codes from ontape.
