What needs to be done to the Informix products? Nothing. :2. Does anything need to be done to the SCO (managers are now 'telnet'ing :to these boxes). Install an ODBC server component from one of the suppliers of these (http://www.openlinksw.com and http://www.vision.sco.com are two). :3. Is there any additional software needed? Install the ODBC client component from the same manufacturer as the server component on the MS Windows PC's. We use the OpenLink version. It has functionality to implement some security features you may want. They both have trial versions on their web pages. In MS Access you can simply connect to the Informix tables and start doing queries directly on them. Do read the white paper on ODBC on the OpenLink web site. It gives you a lot of valuable information on ODBC, its problems and oportunities.
