Problems comparing/reverse engineering Informix databases with ERwin

I'm working with an Informix 7.30 database and ERwin 3.5.2. I did a successful reverse engineering of my entire database. After that I decided to compare the generated model and my database for verification. I have found several extrange differences. For example, ERwin interprets the smallint datatype as a text.... Is there any known problem around this combination? Any help is welcome!
