I am not bothered on the platform, but would > prefer either Linux or NT. This is a pretty simply matter. Do you have the file layouts? The .dat file is just a fixed file delimited by the 0x0a char. The only difficulty you may have will the long and double data types. The Microsoft C compiler can read these ok. There is a mark on deleted records, at this time it slips my memory. Maybe someone knows. Records do not get physically deleted, only marked.
