I use the MKS Toolkit on all my NT Informix boxes. It gives you
about 160 Unix utilities, a korn-shell, and Perl 5.03 for NT. Makes
NT almost like a real operating system. see www.mks.com.

yes, it runs $INFORMIXDIR\\setenv.cmd, which sets the proper parameters for
the server.
