What is your SHMTOTAL set to in your onconfig? This is the total amount of shared memory that informix will try to grab. Post your onconfig and maybe we can help you further. jim ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: HELP ... Multi System Disaster Author: "Histasp M. Khambata/MUK/SEEPZ" <histaspk@meghdoot.mastek.com> at Internet Date: 8/11/97 8:36 PM Hi, We are currently running 3 RDBMSs namely: INFORMIX v7.14 , ORACLE v7.3.3 and INGRES v6.x on the same server, a Sun machine running under SunOS v5.5.1, the equivalent of Solaris 2.5 having about 256 MB of physical usable RAM. We are facing a problem of consististently running out of memory. ie.: INFORMIX seems to be taking control of 100% of the memory resources, which causes the users to be automatically logged off the system. This happens apparently when the number of users approaches 40. Has anybody else faced a similar problem or does anyone know of a suitable solution to this problem, I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thanks in Advance...
