Has anyone heard if Informix is planning on relaseing a patch to get past the 2 gig Chunk size plus offset limit. I have partioned my disks into 5 raw slices, but I still have half the disk array unusable in Raw modes since I can only access 2 gig per slice. Anyone got a work around for this other than not striping? Steve
Steve, If you are using Solaris, you can edit the output of 'prtvtoc' and create six additional slices with 'fmthard'. There is a discription of this on the Solaris developer website http://soldc.sun.com/developer/support/slices.html.
