But, that may have more to do with the Mac itself >than with FoxPro. I posted the same question 2-3 weeks ago on comp.databases. Yep. The problem is that, as far as I know, FoxPro/Mac & FoxPro/Win can't share the SAME data files on a COMMON server. One possibility is FileMaker Pro. Don't know if it allows Win & Mac to share SAME data on a COMMON server. But I do know it is a FLAT file manager, with no relational capabilities to speak of. Another is OMIS7, which is 3rd party client front end for virtually any SQL-compliant DBMS on any server. Clients written for Win can run on Macs with just a recompile. But it is geared for Oracle, Sybase, Informix & the like, and it is pricey: about US$400 & up. There are some decent shareware DBMSs for Win where the author ships the C source code. You would have to rebind thier user interface from DLLs to MacOS, and extend them to run over a network. Almost certainly not worth the trouble. And finally there are Informix & Oracle, which are available for Macs, Win16, Win32, VAX/VMS & almost all UNIX environments. They are pricey, of course. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Joe Cotellessa (in Northern Virginia) 703-866-7439(W) 703-339-6087(H) [The Elder] cotellessa@dgs.dgsys.com "Any fool can have the facts.
