ESQL/C and NT 4.0 ?

Does anyone out there use Informix OnLine7.10 and ESQL/C on a Windows NT4.0 platform? On our NT3.51 we had no problems; but now the install of ESQL/C on NT4.0 fails with the error message "NT version must be 3.5x"! By the way: OnLine could be installed with no problems at all ... Any experience or help would be appreciated. TIA.
